Used shell found at garbage dump

Chandigarh: A used shell was found at the dumping ground in Dadu Majra on Monday afternoon. The UT police went to the spot and took it into their possession. Man held for extortion

Ambala: The Ambala police have registered a case against a man for allegedly extorting money from owners of meat shops in Ambala City. The suspect has been identified as Kapil Kumar, a resident of Ambala City. In their complaint to the police, the shop owners alleged that the suspect had threatened them that he would get their shops closed if he was not given money every month. 513 pass recruitment test

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Police on Monday declared the result of recently conducted computer-based test (CBT) for the recruitment of 520 constables. A total of 28,227 shortlisted candidates appeared for the CBT, of which 513 candidates have been provisionally selected. The advertisement inviting applications for the posts was issued in November 2015. Around 2.83 lakh candidates had applied online for the posts. TNS
