Mohali cops nail 3 vehicle thieves

Mohali, January 27

The Phase 8 police have busted a five-member gang of vehicle thieves with the arrest of three members here today. Seven two-wheelers have been recovered from them. The suspects have been identified as Baljinder Singh, Jagsir Singh and Jagdish Singh.

Mansa resident Beant Singh, alias Happy, and Pawanpreet Singh are at large. All suspects are in the 23-30 age group.

Phase 8 SHO Rajesh Kumar said: “The suspects used to steal two-wheelers from the tricity and park these near the Phase 8 bus stand and Kumbhra parking for sometime. Later, they used to sell these in Burail. A case has been registered against them and investigations are on.”
