Mohali Municipal Corporation to clean road gullies

Mohali, June 10

In view of the ensuing monsoon season, special measures are being taken by the Mohali Municipal Corporation to ensure proper drainage of rainwater.

While inaugurating the work of cleaning open drains in Phase 5, city Mayor Amarjit Singh Sidhu said road gullies would be cleaned and the drainage system was being streamlined before the onset of the monsoon. Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi was present on the occasion.

Amarjit Singh Sidhu said cleaning and repair works were being undertaken wherever needed. He said the work would be completed before the rains. He said the MC was making special efforts to clean the N-Choe so that the water could be drained out properly from the side of Phase 9 and NIPER. —TNS
