Mohali police hold awareness meet
As part of the campaign launched by Mohali police, Senior Superintendent of Police Deepak Pareek and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Karnail Singh today held a meeting at Siswan village and Majra police station in Mullanpur to listen to the problems being faced by the people.
During the meeting, the villagers were encouraged to raise public complaints, strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and citizens to resolve local problems. Besides, the public was also made aware about cyber crime cases and traffic rules.
The locals were also asked to get the tenant verification process completed before renting out their houses.
The public was also made aware of the grant of award to the Good Samaritan scheme run by the government. They were that any individual who comes to the aid of an accident victim will be rewarded with Rs 2,000 by the government.
