Mohali, November 19

Residents of Purab Premium Apartments are up in arms over an alleged pilferage of power by a private company, which is carrying out works at the society.

Residents, who also filed a complaint in this regard with the Chief Administrator, GMADA, alleged that they found 27 illegal connections to supply power for the works being carried out by the company. Parwinder Singh Saini, a resident, alleged that the company had to do its electrical works by using generator sets but they were using ‘kundi’ connections.

Mahesh Bansal, Estate Officer, GMADA, said the company had been told to get power after getting a meter installed. — TNS
