Monsoon all set to retreat

Chandigarh, October 8

The monsoon is all set to start retreating from October 10. As per the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, this is the longest-delayed withdrawal withdrawal in six years. The last recorded longest-delayed withdrawal was on October 17, 2013. While last year, it was October 1.

A Meteorological official said it is due to Cyclone in the Arabian Sea which led the monsoon system moving northwards.
