MP Tewari stresses on seamless handover of Smart Mission projects
City MP Manish Tewari has advised officials concerned of the Chandigarh Smart City Mission to ensure that the assets created by spending Rs 853 crore over the past 10 years do not go to seed and the handing over of these projects to the departments concerned took place in an efficacious and seamless manner.
Tewari today chaired the wrap-up meeting of the advisory committee of the Chandigarh Smart City Mission. It was attended by Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla, MC Commissioner Amit Kumar, DC Nishant Kumar Yadav and other officials of the Smart City.
Tewari reviewed the projects which have been executed over the past 10 year during the course of this mission.
On the question that who will take the responsibility of these assets, he was informed that different departments would then take responsibility of these. He was told that the integrated command and control centre would be transferred to the Department of Information and Technology, while the STPs etc would be transferred to the MC.
