Mumbai man held for Morni hit-and-run

The police have arrested a Mumbai resident for a February 7 accident near Balg Mor on the Morni–Tikkar Tal road.

In his complaint to the police, a resident of Morni stated that his 56-year-old father, Jotram, hit by a speeding car bearing a Maharashtra registration number while he was on his scooter.

Following the accident, the driver abandoned the car at the scene and fled. The accused has been identified as Vikas Ram Sharma, a resident of Goregaon West, Greater Mumbai.

The police tracked down the accused using the vehicle registration number.

During preliminary interrogation, it emerged that the arrested accused was on a vacation in Morni at the time of the incident.
