Nabipur village celebrates PVSM to Lt Gen Harjeet Singh Sahi
The honour was celebrated by residents and his family in Fatehgarh Sahib
Lt Gen Harjeet Singh Sahi, a native of Nabipur village near Fatehgarh Sahib, has been conferred with the Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM), one of the country’s highest peacetime military decorations, by the President in recognition of his distinguished and exceptional service to the nation.
He has held several key command and staff appointments, contributing significantly to operational preparedness, leadership development and organisational excellence within the armed forces.
The honour was widely celebrated by villagers and his family. Surjit Singh Sahi, his elder brother and a leading businessman, said it was a moment of pride not for the family but for the entire nation and inspiration for youngsters of the region.
Lt Gen Sahi had already been conferred with an extraordinary array of gallantry and distinguished service awards, including the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal (UYSM), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), Yudh Seva Medal (YSM) and Sena Medal.
