NCC cadets get scholarships

Chandigarh, July 20

Cadets of the NCC Air Wing representing Chandigarh Group, who had excelled in academics, were felicitated with scholarships from the Cadet Welfare Society, here on Friday.

Based on merit in academic performance at the national-level, the society provides 1,000 scholarships of Rs 6,000 each to cadets across the country.

Six cadets from Chandigarh including, Somalika Sharma, Krishna, Arshpreet Kaur, Lavanya Sharma, Anshul Singh and Kush Pandeya, received the scholarships this year. Felicitating them on their achievements, Brig RS Thakur, NCC Group Commander, Chandigarh, extolled them to keep up their performance and to strive for excellence in all activities that they undertake. — TNS
