NCC cadets of New Public School took out a rally to mark World Population Day. Fifty cadets from Class IX and X spread a message to control population and marched through Sector 18, Chandigarh, to create awareness among the residents.

The Gurukul, Panchkula

Nitansh Singla (9), a seasoned skater and student of The Gurukul, Panchkula, was awarded by the Haryana Government for his outstanding achievement in skating. He was given a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and a certificate. Nitansh, who represented Haryana, won a silver medal at the School Games Nationals in the U-14 (Boys) quads category in 500 mtrs. The 64th School Games Skating Nationals 2018-19 were held at Shivganga Roller Skating Sports Club, Belgaum, Karnataka. Principal Harsimran Kaur congratulated Nitansh and wished him best for the future.

Govt Model Middle School, Mani Majra

Chetna Sharma, a Class VI student of Government Model Middle School, Mani Majra, won a bronze medal in aero dance and aerobic gymnastics contest held in Goa. The event was conducted by The Association of National Aerobic Championship.

DAV School, Sector 8, Panchkula

Dr Nisha Peshin visited the school to interact with principals of Jalandhar and tricity zone. During the meet academic performance of students of premier DAV educational institutions was analysed. The meeting was also attended by Madhu Bahl, Regional Officer Haryana Zone and Dr Rashmi Vij, Assistant Regional Officer, Jalandhar Zone as well as Principal of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar.

AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh

World Population Day was observed in AKSIPS-41 to raise awareness regarding population explosion. Law interns Vaibhav Goyal and Ojasvi delivered lecturers on population. Jasdeep Kalra, executive director, AKSIPS, stressed to our population for growth and development of the country. A slogan writing competition was also held for students of Class IV and V. TNS
