NSS camp begins at PU

Chandigarh, December 25

Chandigarh Mayor Davesh Moudgil inaugurated a seven-day NSS camp at Panjab University (PU) here on Tuesday.

While inaugurating the camp, he said the youth should sensibly use the Right to Vote. If one wants to participate in the process of change and development, he/she should exercise his/her right in the correct manner.

He motivated the youth by sharing the hardships he faced during his political career. He also warned the youth against the misuse of social media. He laid emphasis on how to make the city beautiful for which he urged the young people to join the Swachh Bharat campaign.

VC Prof Raj Kumar was the guest of honour. He motivated the NSS volunteers to come forward and take the lead in making PU clean and green university.

Registrar Prof Karamjeet Singh, Prof Devinder Singh from the Department of Laws and Prof Shivani Sharma, coordinator, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, PU, also graced the occasion. — TNS
