Oath-taking ceremony organised

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Baptist School, Sector 45-D, organised an oath-taking ceremony for the new elected council members for the session 2018-19.



Chandigarh: Chandigarh Baptist School, Sector 45-D, organised an oath-taking ceremony for the new elected council members for the session 2018-19. Head girl Purva and head boy Sahil led the ceremony. Nalini Joseph, vice-principal, congratulated the council members and presented them their badges. Rama Sharma, co-ordinator, briefed the council members about their positions and responsibilities.

St Xavier’s Sr Sec School   

Chandigarh: The mathematics department of St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-C, Chandigarh, organised “Mathemania”, an annual inter-school event. Around 15 schools from the tricity participated in the event. Naman Bhardwaj and Manya Gupta of Little Flower Convent School, Panchkula, won the Maths Wizard. Dhwani Bansal and Parisa Munjal of St Kabir, Chandigarh, won the Brain Teaser competition. Muskaandeep Kaur, Arpita, Saksham Kamboj and Aekam Gill of St Xavier's, Mohali, won the Skit-O-Matic competition.

ATS Valley School   

Dera Bassi: Students of Class I-B of ATS Valley School, Dera Bassi, showed their calibre and talent in ‘masti ki pathshala’. The tiny tots started their ‘masti ki pathshala’ with a song and a pledge. They encouraged the parents to do breathing exercise for relaxation. They showed their creativity on cleanliness by making models of brush, teeth denture, fruits and vegetables made of clay. They also made their own laminated table mats, which they will use in school during lunch.

Infant Jesus Convent School   

Mohali: To showcase scientific inquisitive and creative temperament of the primary and senior wing, Infant Jesus Convent School, Mohali, organised an exhibition. The budding scientists displayed various models based on types of farming, drip-irrigation and change in farming technology. Models of magnetic levitation, water purifier and rain water harvesting were among the most appreciated models. Creative instinct of the students was also revealed through various exhibits based on art and craft, which comprised folk art pottery, paper bags, glass painting, gift envelopes etc. 

Sri Guru Harkrishan School  

Chandigarh: Students of Sri Guru Harkrishan Model School, Sector 38-D, celebrated the birthday of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji with enthusiasm. The atmosphere became devotional and blissful as students sang ‘hymns’, gave speeches and recited poems on Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji. The students, teaching and non-teaching staff attended a ‘kirtan’ and recited religious prayers on the occasion. 

PML SD Public School  

Chandigarh: To boost the use of paper and jute bags, students of PML SD Public School, Sector 19-C, Chandigarh, participated in making eco-friendly bags. They used paper and waste jute to make the bags. — TNS
