The district reported 121 fresh coronavirus cases and another death today.

A 49-year-old man from Bir Ghaggar, who was suffering from diabetes and hypertension, succumbed to the virus.

The Covid-19 death toll in the district has risen to 77, while new infections took the caseload to 5,550.

The new cases include 14 from Sector 20, 13 from Sector 15, nine from Pinjore, eight from the MDC, Sector 5, six each from Sector 21 and Sector 4, five each from Sector 16, Sector 17 and Sector 8, four each from Kalka, Sector 10, Sector 19, Sector 25 and Sector 7, three each from the MDC, Sector 4, and Sector 9, two each from Kharak Mangoli, Sector 11, Sector 12, Sector 26, Sector 28 and Sector 6, and one each from Bir Ghaggar, Karanpur, Kot, Marranwala, the MDC, Sector 6, Raipur Rani, Rajiv Colony, Sector 18, Sector 2, Sector 24 and Sector 27.

While 1,196 cases are active, 4,277 persons have been cured. Panchkula has so far conducted 62,723 Covid tests. — TNS
