Panchkula Golf League: Pack of four in quarterfinals
In the individual category, Kamaljit Singh Kang (Flames) and Mohanjit Singh (Warriors) share the top position by scoring 36 points each
The pack of Green Warriors, Highland Kings, Shivalik Swingers and Clubs on Flames secured their quarterfinals stage plays of the Panchkula Golf League, at the Panchkula Golf Club today.
After seven matches, Warriors finished at the top with 2,456 total points (2,331 game points and 125 bonus points). Kings followed closely with 2,447 points (2,315 points and 132 points), while Swingers accumulated 2,442 (2,308 points and 134). While the Flames claimed the fourth qualifying spot with 2,435 points (2,341 and 94), completing a tightly contested top four separated by just 21 points.
Tee Titans (2,377), ADS Falcons (2,348), GB Legends (2,346) and Sneakin Golfers (2,328) showed resilience through the league phase, but fell short of advancing to the knockout stage.
In the individual category, Kamaljit Singh Kang (Flames) and Mohanjit Singh (Warriors) shared the top position by scoring 36 points each. Col Rajiv Bahl, Divanshu Nayyar and Maj Gen Bhupinder Singh scored 35 each to follow at second position, while Maninder Pal Singh, Mivaan Singh and Mohanjit Singh Pooni carded 34 to remain at the third position.
With four teams now confirmed from Group A, attention shifts to Group B, where the remaining quarterfinal berths will be decided tomorrow. The top eight teams overall will move into the knockout phase scheduled for February 19, as the league transitions from the round-robin format to elimination matches.
