Panchkula police review arrangements for Kanwar Yatra

The police on Monday reviewed security and traffic arrangements as a Kanwar-Tiranga Yatra from Haridwar reached the district.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) Amrinder Singh inspected arrangements for kanwariyas at Majri Chowk where he welcomed them with flowers.

The police said arrangements had been made around kanwar camps to ensure the safe movement of kanwariyas and commuters.

The DCP said the safety of kanwariyas and smooth traffic movement were the police priorities. Field teams were monitoring the yatra. He appealed to kanwariyas to follow the designated routes and traffic rules, maintain discipline on roads and cooperate with police directions.
