Panchkula unbeaten in league stage of cricket meet
Panchkula topped Zone A in the Haryana State Senior Inter-District Cricket Tournament for the Pataudi Trophy. The side remained unbeaten throughout the league stage. The team secured five victories, and played one draw to collect 20 points and qualify for the next round.
Panchkula's opening fixture against Kurukshetra was abandoned due to rain, forcing both teams to share points. In the second match, the side defeated Kaithal by a thrilling 34-run margin. The third league match turned out to be a one-sided affair as Panchkula crushed Ambala by a 274-run win.
The team continued its winning streak by defeating Karnal by 37 runs in the fourth match, a result that propelled it to the top of the Zone A table. Rain interrupted their fifth league encounter against Yamunanagar, but Panchkula still emerged victorious by 164 runs on the VJD method.
The team sealed their impressive league campaign with a 22-run victory over Kurukshetra in the final match, confirming their place at the top of Zone A.
