Parmish, Balraj guide St Joseph’s to victory

CHANDIGARH:Parmish Verma and Balraj Singh Chauhan hit contrasting half-centuries to help hosts St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, beat AKSIPS, Sector 41, by nine wickets to win the 10th Super League U-14 Cricket Championship.

Parmish Verma and Balraj Singh Chauhan hit contrasting half-centuries to help hosts St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, beat AKSIPS, Sector 41, by nine wickets to win the 10th Super League U-14 Cricket Championship. 

Batting first, the AKSIPS rode on Dev’s 96-run knock to score 164/8 in 25 overs. Kavya (2/13) and Parmish Verma (2/33) claimed two wickets each for St Joseph’s. 

In reply, the hosts scored reached home with nine wickets to spare. Verma cracked a 56-ball 67, while Chauhan remained unbeaten on 63. Harveer Singh claimed the only wicket to fall in the St Joseph’s innings.
