PCA eves beat Himachal team by 17 runs

The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) recorded a 17-run win over the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) during the 6th Rama Atray Memorial Women Seniors One-Day Cricket Tournament at IS Bindra PCA Stadium here on Friday.

After winning the toss, the PCA opted to bat first and posted 155/7 in the allotted 27 overs. Opener Navneet Sandhu scored her team’s highest 54 runs. She was supported by Khushnawal Kaur (24), Neetu Singh (16) and Mannat Kashyap (13). Sushmita Kumari picked two wickets for the bowling side, while Prachhi Chauhan, Preet Kahlon and Neena Chaudhary claimed one each.

In reply, HPCA eves were restricted to 138/9 in 27 overs. Shushma Verma scored 35 and Monika Devi 30. Mannat Kashyap claimed four wickets for the bowling side, while Pragati Singh claimed two. Neetu Singh and Komal preet singh picked one each.
