Patiala, December 13

The Patiala Urban Planning and Development Authority (PDA) fetched Rs 10.92 crore by auctioning properties. Buoyed by the response, the authority has now decided to auction properties every month.

PDA officials said a total of 125 properties were put on auction. Out of these, 28 properties, including 16 commercial and 12 residential, were sold.

Harpreet Singh Sudan, Chief Administrator, PDA, said, “The PDA has decided to hold monthly auctions of properties. We are toying with a new idea. This was the first auction as part of the plan. We sold properties worth Rs 10.92 crore today. This despite the fact that a major e-auction took place last month.” — TNS
