Chandigarh, March 18
Dharampal Singh from the Electrical Engineering Department and Lokesh Bansal from the Aerospace Engineering Department, Punjab Engineering College, have been selected for the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship.
The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Germany, Mexico, Tunisia, and Ukraine. Lokesh will conduct research on ‘High safety guidance platform for autonomous drones’ at Ecole de Technologie Superiere, Montreal, Canada, whereas Dharampal will work on renewable energy at UQO, Montreal, Canada.
Both students will be sanctioned 15,000 Canadian dollars (Rs 11,000 from the Canadian government and Rs 4,000 from the MHRD) for their work. Both were felicitated today by Prof Dheeraj Sanghi, Director of PEC, for their path breaking success in field of engineering and technology.
