Pedestrian hit by CTU bus, hurt

CHANDIGARH: A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a CTU bus on the road separating Sector 21 and 22.

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a CTU bus on the road separating Sector 21 and 22. The accident took place on July 15.

According to the police, the complainant, Harbhajan Singh, a resident of Sector 29, alleged that a CTU bus, being driven by Parveen Sharma, hit his brother Avtar Singh.

The victim was admitted to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, from where he was referred to the PGI. The police have registered a case under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others) of the IPC against the CTU driver at the Sector 17 police station. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
