Field trial for the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which was scheduled to start tomorrow, has been postponed, confirmed the Director, School Education, Palika Arora.

Arora said the field trial was deferred till further instructions.

The sample size for the field trial was 1,710 students from English and Hindi medium schools. A total of 1,125 students were to be selected from English medium schools and 585 from Hindi medium institutes. There are 3,461 PISA students in city schools.

The main survey is scheduled between August and September 2022.

PISA is a triennial international survey aimed at evaluating education systems worldwide by testing the skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students nearing the end of their compulsory education. — TNS
