The police conducted a special search operation at Nirmal Chhaya Society on VIP Road in Zirakpur on Tuesday morning. The operation was conducted to arrest anti-social elements, check possession of illegal arms and drugs, and find those living without tenant verification.
SP (Rural) Navreet Singh Virk said, “A search operation was conducted to create a sense of security among the general public, under which all the flats of the high rise society were checked.
“The main objective of this campaign is to prevent the activities of anti-social elements and create a sense of security among the people. Police will continue such campaigns in the future as well. The house owners have been asked to get their tenant verification done.”
