Chandigarh: Lohri was celebrated at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hall, boys’ hostel No. 4 of Panjab University on Wednesday. Residents of the hostel enjoyed the rich cultural folklore of Punjab through songs while maintaining SOP, including social distancing and wearing masks. PU VC Releases new year calendar
Chandigarh: Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Raj Kumar released the New Year calendar, an initiative of the Panjab University Non-Teaching Employees Federation (PUNTEF), at his office on Wednesday. Lecture on fighting negativity
Chandigarh: Dean (International students), Panjab University, organised an international lecture of Dr Vijay Rana, an award winning senior NRI journalist from London. Rana delivered a lecture on, “How to fight negativity and create a mindset for positivity and success”. He started his lecture by giving tribute to Swami Vivekananda. He shared some objectives of positive psychology with the audience while giving importance to the good habit formation and laid emphasis on unity of body and mind. TNS
laurels for Shishu Niketan
Chandigarh: Shaurya Chanana, a Class XI student of Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22-D, brought laurels by winning the “HIMPEX-2020- Essay writing competition”. The event was organised by the Department of Posts, office of the Chief Postmaster General, Shimla. Earlier, Chanana had bagged second position in the Korean essay writing competition.
