CHANDIGARH:Panjab University judokas continued their impressive run on the second day of the ongoing All-India Inter-University Judo Championship for Women with Preety and Savitri clinching a gold medal each in their respective categories on Tuesday.

Chandigarh, December 11

Panjab University judokas continued their impressive run on the second day of the ongoing All-India Inter-University Judo Championship for Women with Preety and Savitri clinching a gold medal each in their respective categories on Tuesday. 

Preety defeated Vadera Alpa of Savitribai Phule University, Pune, to top the podium in the 44kg weight category.

Akanksha of Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, and Preety of DAV University, Jalandhar, returned with a bronze medal each.

Savitri, meanwhile, pipped Preeti of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, to claim the top spot in the 63kg category. 

Harmanpreet Kaur of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and Reetika Dahiya of Delhi University won a bronze medal each. 

Teams from 85 universities across the country are participating in the three-day championship.
