School of Public Health, PGI, launched Tobacco Free Times, a bi-monthly publication on tobacco control.

Apart from news, the publication will also feature opinion pieces by public health experts, development practitioners, policy makers and researchers.

It could be accessed by logging in rctcpgi.org, the official portal of E- Resource Centre for Tobacco Control (E-RCTC), which was emerging as one-point reference system for various tobacco control information and activities, said Rajeev Choudhary, project coordinator, E-RCTC.

The first edition of the publication was released by KS Pannu, Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration, Punjab; KK Yadav, Commissioner, MC, Chandigarh; Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights; Dr Neeraj Kumar, President, IMA, Chandigarh. — TNS
