Second seed Arnav Chauhan of Uttar Pradesh, meanwhile, defeated Haryana’s Arnav Kamboj 6-1 7-6 (0), while third seed Ansh Sharma of Punjab ousted Yajat Vaid 6-1 6-1.

Gurnawaz Singh registered another easy 6-2 6-4 win over Abhiraj Narwal, and sixth seed Arav Saini easily past Kyran Arora 6-2 6-3. Chandigarh’s Ikshaan Deep defeated eighth seed Atharva Dutta of Jammu & Kashmir 6-2 6-2 in one of the few upsets.
