CHANDIGARH: The Department of Music at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, organised a ‘Gurmat Sangeet Samagam’ under the aegis of Sikh Educational Society to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

The Department of Music at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, organised a ‘Gurmat Sangeet Samagam’ under the aegis of Sikh Educational Society to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. The programme commenced with the singing of shabad. Principal Jatinder Kaur extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and participating teams. Stringed instruments such as ‘taus’, ‘sarangi’, ‘dilruba’, ‘rabab’, ‘israj’, ‘pakhawaj’ and ‘jodi’ were played by the teams. Col JS Bala (retd) congratulated the participating teams for making the event a success. — TNS
