Resolve Samadhan Shivir complaints without delay: Panchkula DC to officials

Deputy Commissioner  Satpal Sharma on Thursday directed all district officials to ensure time-bound disposal of complaints received during the Samadhan Shivir and warned against delays in resolving public grievances.

Reviewing pending cases during the grievance redressal camp held at the District Secretariat, the Deputy Commissioner heard 10 complaints and instructed the concerned departments to accord priority to their resolution.

Taking cognisance of a complaint by residents of Jiya village regarding crop damage by rainwater entering agricultural fields, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Forest Department to conduct a site inspection and submit a report at the earliest on the demand for construction of a retaining wall.

In another case, the Deputy Commissioner ordered a field inspection after a resident of Raipur Rani complained that wastewater flowing into his farmland had damaged crops. The concerned department was asked to submit its report without delay.

The Deputy Commissioner also sought a site inspection report on a complaint by a Sector 12 resident regarding alleged encroachment on land belonging to the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).

Reviewing pending complaints from previous Samadhan Shivirs, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to dispose of all cases on priority and ensure that grievances were addressed without unnecessary delay.

The Deputy Commissioner said, “Samadhan Shivirs are being organised at the Deputy Commissioner’s office every Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon on working days to provide prompt redressal of public grievances.” He said Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini monitors the grievance redressal process through video conferencing and reviews the action taken on complaints.

Residents were urged to attend camps and get their grievances resolved through the mechanism.
