Mohali DC: Restoration of Kharar-Landran road to begin in March

Mohali Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal today ordered floating of tenders to restore the Kharar-Landran road, which was dug up for sewerage work.

Mittal reviewed the sewerage work and directed the Executive Officer (EO), Municipal Council, Kharar, to immediately float tenders so that the restoration work of the road could commence in March. She also instructed the EO to ensure proper and suitable disposal of storm water in the area.

The DC also inspected the under-construction sewage treatment plant at Khoonimajra.

Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board officials apprised her that around 70% of the work was completed and the STP was likely to be commissioned by July. Thereafter, Mittal reviewed the storm water disposal work on the Chajjumajra road near SBP Homes and directed the MC Executive Officer to expedite the remaining work.
