Shishu Niketen School (Sector 22) registered a solitary goal win over Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 22) in the boys' U-19 inter-school football tournament today.

Rigzin scored the only goal of the match in the 32nd minute to confirm win.  Meanwhile, Abhinav struck twice as St Kabir School (Sector 26) defeated KB DAV School (Sector 7) 2-0. Abhinav netted the first goal in the 44th minute, followed by another strike in the 49th minute. Government Model Senior Secondary (Sector 19) defeated Mount Carmel School (Sector 47) 1-0. Amit scored the only goal of the match in the 15th minute. 

Earlier, on Friday, Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 21) recorded a 3-2 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 28), St Soldier School (Sector 28) defeated Delhi Public School (Sector 40) 2-0 and Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 44) ousted Guru Nanak Khalsa Senior Secondary School (Sector 30) 6-4.

GMSSS-20 win netball final 

Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 20) defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 32) 11-9 to win the girls’ U-17 inter-school netball tournament. 

Tribune Model School (Sector 29) recorded a 12-3 win over Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 20B)  to claim the third position. 

Meanwhile in the boys’ U-17 semifinal, DAV Public School (Sector 8) recorded a 10-4 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 32). In the second semi, KB DAV School (Sector 7) defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 20D) 13-11.

DAV-8 clinch cricket title 

DAV Senior Secondary School (Sector 8) won the boys’ U-17 inter-school cricket tournament by registering a nine-wicket win over Delhi Public School (Sector 40). Batting first, the Sector 40 team scored 84/8 in allotted 20 overs. 

Tejveer (19) and Wahapratap (17) were the two main scores for the side. Vijaypal and Abhay claimed two wickets each, while Jashan Beniwal took one for the bowling side. In reply, DAV lads posted 87/1 in 12 overs with the help of Jashan (30 off 28 balls) and Sohail (22 off 16 balls). Harshit claimed the only wicket for the bowling side. 

GMSSS-19 in volleyball semifinals 

Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 19) reached into the girls’ U-19 semifinals of the inter-school volleyball tournament. The Sector 19 team defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 33) 25-10 25-11 25-13. 

In the second semi,  Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School ( Sector 20) posted a 25-16 25-17 25-22 one-sided win over Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 32). 

In the boys' U-19 semis, DAV Senior Secondary School (Sector 15) defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School (Sector 33) 25-15 25-13 25-16 and Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School (Sector 26) ousted DAV Senior Secondary School (Sector 8) 25-15 25-13 25-16.
