Rs 13K snatched from LPG delivery boy

Two unidentified miscreants allegedly snatched an amount of Rs 13,000 from an LPG cylinder delivery boy at Sector 52 here today.

Sources said the victim, Arshad, who works as a delivery boy with a Maloya-based gas agency, reported that he had come to deliver gas cylinders in Sector 52 in a jeep when two youths, both pedestrians, approached him. The duo asked the victim to deliver a cylinder at their house.

The police said they took him to a house, which was already open and empty. The duo thrashed the victim and escaped after snatching Rs 13,000 from him. The police have initiated an investigation at the Sector 36 police station.
