Chandigarh, April 21

The UT police collected a fine of Rs 2.03 lakh for violation of Covid norms today.

The police said 255 challans were issued for violating social distancing, 80 for spitting at a public place and 30 for not wearing a mask. Four persons were arrested for violations.

A bride on her way to the wedding venue was challaned for not wearing a mask. Sources said her car stopped at the red light and cops noticed her sans a mask and issued a challan. — TNS
