Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

Bhavan Vidyalaya Principal Gulshan Kaur was bestowed upon the CT Intellectual Award. She was felicitated by CT University, Ludhiana, during an award ceremony at the university’s Ludhiana campus. She also gave a presentation on the National Education Policy. Geeta Dewan, Head of the Department of Mathematics in school, was also felicitated for her contribution to the field of education.

St Joseph’s, Chandigarh

St Joseph’s School, Sector 44D, Chandigarh, celebrated its Founder’s Day with enthusiasm and exuberance. ‘Noble deeds through noble souls’, a campaign by St Joseph’s School, was launched to mark the Founder’s Day. As a part of the campaign, ‘Each One, Reach One’ was made the motto for helping the underprivileged section of society by distributing gifts. ‘Sharing beyond school walls, collaboration with Government School, Sector 44-B, was organised for myriad art and craft competitions. Various events such as poster making on organ donation, rangoli making and slogan writing on water conservation were conducted to commemorate the day. Another remarkable venture undertaken was a visit to the old-age home in Sector 15, Chandigarh. Students spent some quality time with inmates. Kitchen appliances such as induction stoves and eatables were distributed among them.

Shemrock, Mohali

Shemrock School, Sector 69, organised an installation ceremony of early and interact club at its campus. Vasudha was selected as club president whereas Diksha is the vice-president. Jyotnoor is selected as the secretary and Aastha as the vice-secretary. Shivam was selected as the treasurer. Prineet Sohal, Principal, Shemrock School, motivated the students to work for underprivileged sections of society.

Kundan International, Chandigarh

A craft workshop was organised by Kundan International School. Various techniques were demonstrated by craft teachers of Kundan International School. Teachers from the host school, along with the faculty from AKSIPS-45, Ashiana Public School, Aanchal International School and Divya Public School participated in the workshop.

MRA, Chandigarh

MRA Model School, Chandigarh, celebrated Car-Free Day. School management and the staff members took to carpooling. Some came on bicycles, on foot and on public transport. Teachers were honoured in the assembly with the badges of ‘Eco Warriors’ by the school Principal Seeman Biji.

Chandigarh Public, Baltana

Chandigarh Public School, Baltana, observed Swachhata Pakhwara in the school. Hand-wash activity, classroom cleanliness competition, poster making, quiz, rally and exhibition on cleanliness were organised. Students were taught about self-hygiene and dry and wet waste disposal. Parents were invited for a workshop on keeping our surroundings clean.
