Prof K Gauba, Head, Oral Health Sciences Centre, PGI, said a majority of schoolchildren suffered from some or the other kind of oro-dental disease and the disease pattern should be addressed at the school level itself.
He was speaking during school teachers’ training programme, which was organised by PGI, in collaboration with Indian Dental Association, for all government schools of UT.
Prof Gauba discussed about the identification, causes, prevention and management of common dental diseases of children.
The programme included a practical demonstration of tooth-brushing technique and emphasis on self-examination of oro-dental diseases by Dr Arpit Gupta, assistant professor, PGI. — TNS
