Residents of Sector 21 have been complaining of getting dirty water for the past 10 to 15 days.

They have mailed on the ID of the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and the Mayor and even filed a complaint on 155304, but to no avail.

What’s strange is that complainants have received a message that the issue has been resolved, but the repair work has not been done.

“For the past several days, we have been getting dirty water. I have mailed the Commissioner and the Mayor and even called up the customer care number, but the situation remains the same,” said Rajeev Gupta, a resident of Sector 21-D.

His neighbour Rajender Gupta added, “The authorities should rectify the fault as soon as possible. Even if we filter the water, the dust particles remain.”

Another resident Sunil Chadha said: “We are getting contaminated water. It becomes difficult to carry out household chores this way.”

The residents said the dirty water could cause diseases. A senior officer in the water supply wing said: “The matter is not in my knowledge and I will direct the SDO concerned to the needful.”
