Second accused yet to be nabbed

Chandigarh, September 25

The second accused involved in the rape of a minor girl is yet to be arrested.

The 15-year-old victim was found pregnant on Wednesday, following which the UT police had registered a case at the Sarangpur police station.

The investigation had revealed that the victim’s 19-year-old brother had raped her in December, 2019, and his friend had raped the victim in January this year.

The victim was shifted to a shelter home. Her brother was arrested and sent to judicial custody.

The police said efforts were being made to identify the second suspect and arrest him. — TNS
