CHANDIGARH: The second counselling for centralised courses will start on Thursday. The admissions will take place for about 3,500 seats across the city colleges.

The second counselling for centralised courses will start on Thursday. The admissions will take place for about 3,500 seats across the city colleges.

BCom

For BCom, the Education Department released a list of 1,763 candidates in UT Pool, including those from reserved category, where toppers are vying for SD College, Sector 32. The UT Pool has 85 per cent quota. The list of 1,399 candidates in general category ranges from 113.44 per cent to 76.40 per cent which includes weightage. The counselling for General Pool (outside UT) will take place on July 20. Even in the list for General Pool, for 844 candidates, the preference of toppers is SD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh. The General Pool has 15 per cent seats.

BBA

For BBA, in UT Pool, the list has been out for 844 seats, including the reserved categories. Here toppers are preferring SD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, MCM DAV, Sector 36, Chandigarh, Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11, and Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector-50. For 313 seats in general category, the list ranges from 95.75 per cent to 72.20 per cent UT Pool. In the list for General Pool (Outside UT) for 142 seats, the preference is again for SD College.

BCA

For BCA, a list of 562 candidates has been released in UT Pool, including the reserved seats. The preference of toppers is SD College, Sector 32. The list for 464 general category seats ranges from 114 per cent to 49.8 per cent, which includes weightage. For General Pool, the list is out for 171 seats where preference is for SD College and PGGCG.

BSc (Medical)

For BSc (Medical), the list for 370 seats in UT Pool has been released, including those from the reserved categories. The list in the general category ranges from 94.94 per cent to 51.80 per cent for 338 seats. The preference of toppers here is for PGGCG, Sector 11, SD College and MCM DAV College, Sector 36, Chandigarh. For General Pool, the list is out for 257 seats.

BSc (Non-Medical)

For BSc (non-medical), the list is out for 615 seats in UT Pool. The list ranges from 95.14 per cent to 41 per cent for 552 general category seats. The toppers prefer PGGCG, Sector 11, MCM DAV, Sector 36, Chandigarh, and PGGCG-42. In General Pool, the list of 257 candidates has been released.

Counselling schedule of PU 

  • Interview of all categories for admission to MA first semester 2018-19 in political science is slated for July 23 from 9:30 am onwards at the Department of Political Science. 
  • Interview for regular admission to MA-1st Semester (English) will be held on July 24 at 10 am at the Department of English. 
  • Interview for Ist year MSc (Hons) in zoology will be held on July 25. 
  • Admission to MSc 2nd year course in the Centre for Systems Biology and Bioinformatics will be held on July 23 at 10 am at the chairperson’s room of the department.
  • Interview for 1st year in MSc (Hons) chemistry will be held on July 25 at 10 am at the seminar room of the department.
  • The counselling schedule for admission to BA/BCom LLB(Hons) 5 years integrated course-2018 at the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), PURC Ludhiana and SSGPURC Hoshiarpur will be held on July 19 for general category and reserved categories on July 20.
  • Counselling for admission to MA 1st semester (Sanskrit) 2018-19 will be held on July 25 at 10:30 am at Arts Block No 1, ground floor, lecture hall no 3, Department of Sanskrit.
  • Interview for the admission to MSc (medical physics) 1st year for 2018-19 will be held on July 25 at 10:30 am at the office of the chairperson, Centre for Medical Physics, block-III, south campus, Sector-25 campus of PU.
