Sector 42 coaching centre win gold at state kho-kho meet in Chandigarh

The Sector 42 Coaching Centre won the girls’ sub-junior team title at the State Kho-Kho Championship organised by the Chandigarh Kho-Kho Association on Sunday. The 44th Sub-Junior, 46th Junior, and 53rd Senior Championships were held.

The Sector 23 Coaching Centre tram claimed the second position and Chandigarh Snehalaya Senior, Sector 11, squad finished third. In the boys’ sub-junior event, Kendriya Vidyalaya won the title by defeating Kullu Coaching Centre, Sector 42. Snehalaya Institute for Boys, Sector 9, claimed the third position. The Sector 42 team defeated the B team to claim the gold medal in the girls’ junior event, while St Kabir Public School, Sector 26, finished third.

In the boys’ junior category, Kho-Kho Club City defeated Sector 42 Coaching Centre to claim the top position and the women’s senior team of Chandigarh Welfare Club City won the first position by defeating Chandigarh Kho-Kho Club. In the men’s senior final, Chandigarh Kho-Kho Welfare Club defeated Unified Club City.

The closing ceremony was attended by Mohinder Kamboj, secretary, Haryana Kho-Kho Association and vice-president of KKFI.
