Sector 5 residents took up the issue of weekend traffic chaos and security with Chief Secretary H Rajesh Prasad, along with a detailed memorandum, on Wednesday.

The delegation led by Munish Dhawan, general secretary of Residents Welfare Association, along with Puneet Bassi, Gurpreet Bhattal, Sunamika Brar and Amita Brar, flagged rising problems related to tourists visiting Sukhna Lake, Bird Park and Rock Garden.

Munish pressed for structured traffic regulation and better access to protect the sector’s residential character. The Chief Secretary acknowledged the issues and forwarded the memorandum to relevant departments for action on traffic and security.
