Chandigarh, August 13

A seminar on the theme of ‘Battlefield Breakthroughs: Harnessing Technology for Victory’ was organised by Headquarters, Western Command, in collaboration with Delhi-based Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) at the Chandimandir Military Station today.

Delivering the keynote address, Gen Manoj Pande, former Chief of the Army Staff, emphasised on collective approach to understand the challenges in the battlefield and using technology and training to meet them with efficiency.

Lt-Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, GOC-in-C Western Command, said the Army must strive to be more adaptable and urged officers to have a steep learning curve in the technology domain and innovate to adapt to the new generation warfare challenges. — TNS
