Seminar to celebrate Constitution Day

CHANDIGARH:The Ambedkar Students Association (ASA), Panjab University (PU), organised a seminar to commemorate 68th Constitution Day at Mathematics Auditorium, PU, here today.

The Ambedkar Students Association (ASA), Panjab University (PU), organised a seminar to commemorate 68th Constitution Day at Mathematics Auditorium, PU, here today. Arshdeep Singh, keynote speaker, who is a Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officer, said there was a dire need to spread awareness about the constitutional rights in society. He added that there was a need to conserve and preserve constitutional rights for the betterment of the society and underprivileged section of society.

Special guest Ramesh Dogra, who is a social activist, said the Indian Constitution was a symbol of Dr Ambedkar’s devotion and sacrifices. The Constitution was the landmark for the development of the country and its people. Vijay Kumar, chairman of the ASA, paid tributes to all 289 people of constituent assembly, who framed the premier Constitution for Republic of India. — TNS
