Mohali, June 3
After a two-day lull, seven new cases of Covid-19 were reported from the district.
A 40-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman of Naggal Salempur in Banur have contracted the virus. The woman is pregnant and was found positive during the prenatal check-up.
Two Covid cases have been reported from Baltana. A 50-year-old woman and her 21-year-old son have been found infected. The police have barricaded their residence. Health teams have begun the process of contact tracing. In the nearby Dhakoli, a man, who is a class IV employee at a health centre, has tested positive.
With the fresh cases, the district Covid tally has touched the 123 mark. At present, there are 17 active cases in the district. As of now, 6,212 samples have been taken in the district. — TNS
