Shonit, Yaanis score 50s, guide Learning Paths to victory

CHANDIGARH: Shonit Gaur and Yaanis Kumar scored a half-century each to help Learning Paths School, Mohali, beat hosts St Kabir School by six wickets in the 12th St Kabir U-12 Cricket Tournament final here on Tuesday.

Chandigarh, November 20

Shonit Gaur and Yaanis Kumar scored a half-century each to help Learning Paths School, Mohali, beat hosts St Kabir School by six wickets in the 12th St Kabir U-12 Cricket Tournament final here on Tuesday. 

Batting first, Learning Paths School scored 123/3 in 20 overs, with Gaur hitting 58 off 60 balls and Yaanis making a 55-ball 53. 

Pranav and Aryaaman Gupta claimed a wicket each for the hosts.

Needing 6.20 run per over for victory, St Kabir School could only manage to score 117/5 in the allotted overs. 

Rajya Rajasva scored 39 runs, while Anurag Budhwan contributed 33 runs to the chase. 

Trijal was the most effective bowlers for Learning Paths, claiming 2/32.
