Singer Sunanda Sharma hits back at Dhaliwal, credits hard work for success
A day after Punjabi music producer Pinky Dhaliwal hinted that he was the driving force behind singer Sunanda Sharma’s success, she hit back, saying her success can only be attributed to God and her hard work.
The police had on Sunday arrested Dhaliwal after the singer filed a cheating, forgery and criminal intimidation complaint against him.
Dhaliwal, when asked for a reaction on the controversy, had at the police station used the phrase “roti payee” in a reference to the singer.
Hitting back, Sharma without naming anyone wrote on social media, “They feed on our hardwork and fill their pockets but later treat us like beggars (Kehnde ne roti paayi enho main, chappalan paa ke ayi si (I made her successful, she had come to me in slippers).”.
The 33-year-old singer from Fatehgarh Churian had claimed that she had been driven to suicidal thoughts in the past before thanking the Punjab Chief Minister for his help.
Dhaliwal is currently on a two-day police remand.
