To promote road safety, the Panchkula city traffic police, in collaboration with the SBI General Insurance, organised a special awareness drive at the busy Geeta Chowk on Wednesday. During the campaign, two-wheeler riders were sensitised about the importance of wearing helmets and complying with the traffic rules.
As part of the initiative, more than 100 riders driving without helmets were provided free helmets with the support of the SBI General Insurance. The drive aimed to prevent serious head injuries in road accidents and encourage safer commuting habits.
Senior officials from the SBI General Insurance, including Priyanka Sampat Kumar, ML Das, Supreet Tutija, Jatin Sharma and Amit Bangali, assured continued support for the road safety programmes.
