Motorcycle rider has sustained head injuries

A speeding car that lost control hit a man on a motorcycle and crashed into the boundary wall of a house in Sector 19, police said.

The victim, a 33-year-old man who is in the Indian Air Force who was riding the motorcycle, sustained a head injury and has been moved to the commandant hospital of the air force.

The 31-year-old driver of the vehicle was also wounded and, along with his co-passengers---a 36-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man---is being treated at Government Multi-Speciality Hospital in Sector 16.

The driver of the car has been booked for rash driving (Section 279) and causing hurt (Section 337) under the Indian Penal Code.
