Two youths were seriously injured on Saturday evening after being hit by a speeding Mercedes car outside a club in Sector 26, Chandigarh.

A video of the accident has since gone viral, showing the car passing at high speed. It is being alleged that the driver was a minor, though the police have yet to confirm this.

According to information, the two youths were stepping out of the club when the speeding Mercedes struck them. The impact was so forceful that both were thrown several feet away and fell onto the road.

Hearing the loud noise of the crash, people nearby rushed to the spot.

According to eyewitnesses, the car driver fled the scene along with the vehicle.

Locals rushed the injured youths to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32. According to reports, one of them remains in critical condition, while the other is reported to be stable.

Police reached the spot and launched an investigation.

Police are working to identify the fleeing car driver based on the viral video of the accident and other evidence. They are also investigating whether the person driving the car was a minor.
