Minerva Academy Football Club announce 37-member squad

Chandigarh, November 16

Minerva Academy Football Club announced a 37-member contingent to participate in the opening season of the 2015-16 Hero I-league (second division). The side will play its opening match against Kenkre FC Mumbai at Cooperage Ground in Mumbai under flood lights on November 19.

This year, 10 teams will compete for the title and the winner will qualify for the main I-league. The teams that have qualified are Lone Star Kashmir FC, Guwahati FC, Mohammaden Sporting Club, DSK Shivajians FC, PIFA Sports, Kenkre Sports, Dempo SC, NEROCA FC, Fateh Hyderabad FC, Gangtok Himalayan SC and Minerva Academy FC. “We are targeting a big win. This is for the first time that any team from Chandigarh is going to participate in such a big event. We have prepared well for the championship and expecting a positive result,” said Ranjit Bajaj.
